Each year, the NRC hosts its conference where all stakeholders of the railroad construction and maintenance industry are encouraged to attend. The conference typically encompasses more than 1,000 attendees, 150 exhibitors, and 25,000 square-feet of meeting space with a unique program agenda lined up with chief engineers from the major freight railroads and other key speakers covering up-to-date topics of importance to the rail industry.

The NRC offers its members the opportunity to sponsor a specific conference function. For certain functions, companies will be able to sponsor all or part of the event. Conference Event Sponsors will receive sponsor ribbons on conference badges, signage and oral recognition at the event, their logo imprinted on the 2019 NRC Conference Program Guide front cover and space to distribute promotional literature or trinkets in the registration area. 2019 NRC Conference sponsorships are available. Mini-Spa Treatment:
Spouses will get access to the luxurious J.W. Marriott Marco Island Spa with options of a facial, pedicure, manicure, massage and a few other spa treatment options.

Guided Kayak Tour:
Experience the unique eco-system of the 10,000 islands while navigating your kayak through the mangroves and the back bays of the Gulf of Mexico. You will explore the untouched wilderness and pristine beauty of this area up close and personal with your exclusive eco-trained naturalist. They will guide you to hidden lagoons and deserted beaches where your guests will discover the techniques and fun of capturing local wildlife on film. You may encounter osprey guarding their nests, heron and egret swooping for a fish, dolphins playing or manatees surfacing for a breath of fresh air. This experience ensures plenty of adventure, fun and memories to take home!
Dolphin Sightseeing Tour:
Spend a little under 3 hours experiencing the relaxing and cool Gulf waters aboard the Calusa Spirit! The Power Catamaran departs directly from the sugar sand beach of your hotel and transports guests to a whole new world - the 10,000 Islands! This ecosystem is comprised of thousands of mangrove estuaries, and is full of beautiful and unique wildlife. The Calusa Spirit calmly navigates the backwaters in search of dolphin, manatee, and bald eagles - and upon arrival at Cape Romano, guests can explore the secluded beach in search of the most ornate seashell treasures!


2019 NRC Golf Tournament will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at Hammock Bay Golf Course (1370 Borghese Ln, Naples, FL 34114) and The Rookery Golf Course (3433 Club Center Blvd, Naples, FL 34114). Both courses are located approximately 10 miles from the J.W. Marriott Marco Island. Group transportation will be available, leaving the hotel at 11:00 am. Golfers may also arrange their own transportation. Golfers should plan to arrive at the course by 11:30am.

Golf play will begin at 12:00 pm with a shotgun start. The Tournament format is a four-person scramble, allowing players with varying ability the opportunity to play and have a great time. A box lunch will be provided prior to the Tournament. The Golf Shop offers rental clubs at $55/set. The Tournament registration fee includes carts, green fees, lunch and refreshments, driving range, putting green and prizes.

The tournament will be played on the
Hammock Bay and The Rookery at Marco courses.

The NRC 2019 Fishing Tournament will be held at the Marco Island Marina in Marco Island, FL on Tuesday, January 8th from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Group transportation departs the hotel at 12:30pm, with expected return at 5:00pm. Boats can accommodate up to 6 fishermen. 

Fishing in the Gulf of Mexico just minutes outside of Marco Island, participants will be able to catch Snapper, Grouper, Cobia, Snook, Shark, Barracuda, Mackerel and more. 

The boats will come with a captain and staff who will provide all of the fishing tackle, bait, rods, reels, licenses and instruction required. The Tournament registration fee also includes snacks and beverages on the boat.

The 2019 NRC Everglades Excursion will be held on Tuesday, January 8th from 12:00pm to 5:00pm. The boats can fit up to 12 persons per boat. Group transportation departs the hotel at 11:30am, with expected return by 5:00pm. Please meet at the J.W. Marriott at Marco Island’s Palms Ballroom Entrance.
Before a world-class tour, guests will dine at World Famous City Seafood. After lunch, the attendees will get to see alligators as they lay in the warm sun, snakes as they quietly slither through mangroves, or manatees as they raise their heads out of water for a breath of fresh air. Birds of all kind feed along the shores.
Recognized as the most unique ecosystem in the world, a tour guide will lead you through this natural wonder where you will encounter breathtaking panoramic views of the “River of Grass,” lush vegetation and tranquility. At the conclusion, guests will experience an authentic wildlife sanctuary!
