The NRC organizes events throughout the year. These events foster relationships within the railroad construction industry as well as promote the industry to the public and policymakers. Annual events include the NRC Conference and Exhibition, Equipment Auction, and together with the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association, our annual all-industry lobbying day at the U.S. Capitol, Railroad Day on the Hill. The NRC also organizes grassroots events throughout the year.
The flagship event is the Annual Conference and Exhibition held in early January every year and all stakeholders of the railroad construction and maintenance industry are encouraged to attend. The 2020 Conference will be held from January 5 through 8, in San Diego, CA. Please click here for more information.
NRC members consign and donate equipment for an auction each year and the proceeds go toward the NRC safety funds to produce the safety training materials and DVDs available to NRC members.
Every spring, hundreds of stakeholders in the railroad industry descend upon Capitol Hill to meet with their congressional members to tell the successful story of railroads in the US and promote the interests of the rail industry. The NRC works together with the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association, our annual all-industry lobbying day at the U.S. Capitol.
The NRC organizes grassroots events throughout the year, which allow NRC members to show off their facilities to congressional and local governemnt officials, develop positive relationships with policymakers, and show the positive impact of railroad construction and maintenance activity in the community.
